Bush won again, now what?

Usually, I don’t indulge in this kind of discussion, but then again, usually I’m not involved in the voting process (by actually voting). No, I didn’t go out and wait hours in line to vote, I actually have just a wee bit of faith in the election system. I knew there would be hellacious lines so I mailed in my ballot last month.

As has been said so many times today, it’s quite unlikely to vote a president out of office in a time of war. Now, did Bush go into this war knowing this? Probably not. Do I APPROVE of the war? Hell no, I don’t approve of ANY war. However, I do believe very strongly that something had to be done. Since the man in charge decided to do something, then, yes, I will stand by his side. Well, as much as possible, right?

Personally, I don’t get what made people think the other clown was going to win anyways. Let’s take a look at a few things here, shall we?

A> Bush has actually, physically led this country for 4 years. Kerry has served in the Senate for 20. Well, good for Kerry, but being a Senator is NOTHING like being a president, and, quite frankly, nothing that he has shown over the past few months said "I’m qualified to do the job".

B> Bush has defended this country when the time came. Perhaps not in physical service (admittedly, he did act a bit, well, unprofessionally there), but he stood by and led this country into one of the strongest wars on terrorism we’ll ever see. Kerry? Well, he voted FOR the war, then flopped out. Chickenshit! If you are going to lead a country, you can’t flop between point a and point b constantly.

C> Bush has a history of leadership, and a family that’s historically been at the top of their political game. His father served 2 terms as VP, and one as Pres. In addition, He served how many terms as governor of TX? Yeah, Kerry really has that kind of leadership experience.

I will admit, both parties are dumbasses. However, when it comes down to it, I’ll take the dumbass that’s got the most experience in a leadership position, the one that’s proven not to screw with things TOO terribly badly (admittedly, he has made mistakes, but we all do), rather than the one that’s never stepped foot behind the executive’s doors.

Going to bed last night, I was rather worried. I mean, at that point, they were saying it could go either way, and honestly, I don’t trust that Kerry would have led this country any better than the current individual.

Admittedly the vote and election was close, but damned if the best party didn’t win. Good job to all involved. Next time, Kerry, quit naming names and just get out there and do the job you want to do.
