Herbie’s a classic, you can’t really go too wrong with ‘im. Of course, you really can’t go to a HERBIE flick and expect anyone else to get more time on film than him. Seriously now, it IS a Herbie flick!

The film itself was good, a bit cheesy, but they weren’t going for the "adult" audience here, they were going for the kids. Admittedly, that was a mistake, I mean come on , most of your Herbie fans are my age or close to it, and you want to get them in to see the movie too, right?

The ’special features’ really could have been a bit better, but, Herbie’s not about ’special features’, he’s about the racing, he’s about the car, he’s bout being Herbie!

It wouldn’t be a Herbie movie without, well, without Herbie chasing after some car (of the ‘female’ persuasion). Come on, it’s Herbie!!

The acting was decent, couldn’t get much better than Michael Keaton and Lindsay Lohan, really. Well, maybe you could, but hey.

The plot was good, typical plot. Herbie gets junked (gee, we haven’t seen that one ;)) , girl (Lohan) gets Herbie from the junkyard , Herbie freaks her out when she sees what he can really do, much racing ensues, girl pisses Herbie off by saying that her ride in a ’stock car’ was the best of her life, blah blah blah.

End of the day, girl and Herbie make up, and, well, they win some Nextel/Nascar championship!

Surprised? Not really, it IS Herbie after all. This is pretty much the same plot over all of the movies. It really doesn’t vary, nor, honestly does it get old. I went to see what new and exciting shit they came up with , and wasn’t let down.

One thing this movie’s inspired me to do is rent the originals and watch ‘em again, through NetFlix. Most likely, I’ll be doing that one next week.

Anyways, enough about a classic remake. Hopefully they put more thought into the next few (if they do more), and do a bit better story line!
